I am not saying that Bisphenol A in plastics alone or combined with one of the bazillion other toxins we ingest; causes autism or any other neurological disorders, just if it did we would never know.  Just imagine if it was a vaccine ingredient + BPA.  We might figure that out in the next few hundred years at this rate.  Just thinking about all of this makes me want to go have a on Rocket Fuel the rocks!

In the most unshocking news of the day, special interests may be controlling your government for their benefit at the expense of “the people”.  Stop the presses.

Federal officials are investigating whether the chairman of a panel about to make a pivotal ruling on the safety of bisphenol A has been compromised by a large donation that was disclosed by the Journal Sentinel on Sunday.

The Food and Drug Administration is reviewing all documents to ensure that Martin Philbert complied with the agency’s disclosure requirements, said FDA spokesman Michael Herndon.

Philbert serves as chairman of the FDA subcommittee that is reviewing an earlier FDA ruling on the safety of the controversial chemical.

“We have no reason to believe that Dr. Philbert has done anything other than act in good faith on this matter,” Herndon said.

The move comes after several congressmen, citing the Journal Sentinel story, called for Philbert to step down or return the $5 million given to the center he directs.

The donation was made to the University of Michigan’s Risk Science Center by Charles Gelman, a retired medical supply manufacturer. Philbert is the founder and co-director of the center at the Ann Arbor campus.

Gelman, an outspoken activist against regulation, was once identified by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as that state’s second-worst polluter.

  1. When buying baby bottles, make sure that it is not made in China and also make sure that it is phtalate-free..-”

  2. Won’t people who sell and produce BPA start a campaign criticizing the anti-BPA-ers? Pharma has had some success slinging the anti-vaxxer slogan. Will we spend time and energy butting heads about it and NOT discussing the real issue?
