This makes me very sad because I Love(d) Wired Magazine: A Short History of Vaccine Panic by Amy Wallace.
Amy, the MMR vaccine does not equal all vaccines!
All I do know is that our lives changed on September 27, 2001 when our daughter had her 4 month vaccines. That’s when we had the [...]

I’ve read a lot lately about Google Trends tracking the flu at Google Flu. It is pretty amazing. Google Flu has not only been able to track Flu outbreaks, they have consistently done so weeks ahead of the CDC. Somehow, they are able to sort out people just searching for the flu from those [...]

I am posting these links here because 1) I have been thinking a lot about autism and seizures of late (thanks to more seizures) and 2) I want to know more about this stuff and if it stares at me from my own blog maybe that will motivate me to do so.
These are all by [...]

First of all, WOW on the production value of this guy’s program. While the topic is a tad scary and conspiracy-ish, great site at JesseWoodrow.com.
Maybe if the Swine Flu Scare of 1976 and subsequent vaccine debacle had not happened, I would feel a tad bit more confident in the government’s response.
Maybe if I didn’t [...]

We are in the same old Catch 22 with the seizure meds. We removed one of the two anticonvulsants, Topamax; because of the low dose, the fact that we still have seizures occassionally, and the side effects.
Less seizure meds = more verbal and fewer autism-ism symptoms. However, we’ve had 4 seizures in a week. The [...]

I sometimes wonder if those who feel that autism is related to vaccines created their own red herring with mercury. If it’s not mercury, does that mean vaccines are automatically off the hook? I have no clue and don’t claim to know, but it does seem like there is a lot of misinformation on all [...]

As a parent of a child with seizures, my heart goes out to John Travolta and family over the death of their son, Jett Travolta. Autism controversy aside, seizure related accidents and death are all too common.

If you follow autism news and haven’t been under a rock this week, you probably saw this truly amazing story about a father and 12 year old son with autism who survived 14 hours treading water.
It’s mind blowing how fast this seemed to happen. Reports say they were swimming at “night”, but it’s not clear [...]

Sweet Caroline: September 11, 2001
I mentioned in the previous post that our experience with seizures started after the 4 month vaccines. That was September 2001, a month that the world changed for a lot of people, including us. The fact that September 11 happened right around this time is something that gives [...]
