Almost a third of nurses will refuse the offer of immunisation against swine flu because they have fears about the vaccine’s safety, according to a new survey.
The initial response from frontline health staff, one of the government’s priority groups for vaccination this autumn, was dismissed by the Department of Health, however, as irresponsible and ill-informed.

CNN has a story detailing the new H1N1 trials being done on children, Kids roll up sleeves for H1N1 clinical trial. It seems that there is no shortage of parents willing to sign up their little guinea pigs kids for the clinical trials. The mom in this story is a second generation swine flu vaccine guinea pig test case. That was the failed 1976 swine flu vaccine that caused irreparable damage to the nervous systems of hundreds of people and did far more damage than the actual flu. While it is noble to donate your kids for the cause, I can’t help but think that these parents are a little clueless. No less so than the rest of us at one time, I suppose and hey the kids did get a $40 gift card for their participation!!!
