Autism / Hurricane Doors

We spent a week at the beach last week. By pure luck, our condo had these electric hurricane doors which served as a great way to keep Caroline from wandering out on the balcony.
In addition to worries about her being on the balcony, she enjoyed throwing Bugs Bunny, and anything else she could get her hands on, over the rail. We stayed on the 3d floor, but Bugs was also lucky enough to be hurled off the 19th floor! In any case, these doors were electric and a nice fringe benefit. Since locks no longer slow our daughter down, having these gates down, allowed us to sleep a little better.
