Thanksgiving Dinner on a Special Diet

We usually don’t keep any illegal items in the house, but Thanksgiving was the exception to the rule and I am happy to report that there were no problems.  Caroline did eyeball the carrot cake and mashed potatos with envy, but there were enough things she liked that it was no big deal.  I am still totally amazed that she loves things like green beans and carrots now days.  Since starting the SCD diet, she eats the kinds of foods that any parent would love for their kid to eat and that was not always the norm.  I have no idea if the diet itself does a lot of the things many profess, but it does seem to have a big impact on behavior.  It could be nothing more than eating good foods, cooked from scratch, avoiding sugars, dyes, and preservatives.
