The #1 thing you can do to help a family with autism is help out with the child. Period. On an upcoming family vacation to the beach, we have deputized Aunt Liz to help take care of Caroline.
If it’s not family, find someone to help you! Yes, you can probably do it yourself, but you need to remember your sanity. For us, vacation wouldn’t be much of a vacation without some help. Otherwise, it would be like home with a better view.
